The name Pearl Abyss conjures images of swirling black and oblivion, which I believe contrasts beautifully with DokeVs festival of confetti and magical space hoppers and anthropomorphic fighting animals.

Just watched the whole gamescom trailer - it's looking very nice, almost like living, breathing children's TV 3d animation. And since releasing the showcase for Gamescom, the developers have clarified that DokeV is no longer being developed as an MMORPG, but rather an open-world adventure game with online co-op. If its not an MMO Im willing to give it a chance, I just dont have the time for MMOs anymore. Its being made by a studio called Pearl Abyss, the folks responsible for MMORPG Black Desert. According to the company’s latest financial report, over the past few years, developers have been actively researching the technology and considering the possibility of its implementation. Perhaps they are looking for something similar Pokemon type of game + Genshin type of business model? I would be very surprised if this is actually a fully single player package game like Pokemon TBH. DokeV may become a Play-to-Earn NFT Game DokeV from Pearl Abyss will most likely contain elements of the blockchain. If this is indeed a story driven single player game with limited online play aspect - I would be much more interested in it - but the interview, it seems like they are keeping it pretty vague. Many devs gun for the same, but very few manage to find the balance, especially anything online - that kids don't want to deal with their parents, or vice versa - or sometimes it's too hard or too simple for either side.
